CLIHub is a public command line tool directory for developers and AI Agents. Use source context, install evidence, maintainers, and freshness to decide whether a tool belongs in your workflow.
What is a CLI tool?
A CLI tool runs in a terminal for development, deployment, data work, system administration, and automation. CLIHub indexes public sources so you can compare tools before installing them.
How do I install a tool safely?
Prefer a verified install command shown on the detail page. When a command is not verified, open the official documentation or releases and inspect scripts before running them.
What does the AI Agent label mean?
The catalog found an explicit public signal for MCP, agent workflows, tool calling, or related support. It is not a CLIHub safety or quality certification.
How often is the catalog updated?
Public ecosystems are synced continuously and the catalog can briefly lag the upstream source. Each detail page shows its most recently recorded update.
Can I submit a CLI tool?
Yes. Signed-in people can submit on the web; Agents can submit through REST or MCP with an API key that has the tools:submit scope.
