spyglass is an extensible TUI search tool written in Rust, inspired by fsel, Raycast and Vicinae

[!NOTE] You may be confused as to why your applications don't show in the list. \ To add application entries, see Configuring the apps# lens

Simply add the repo to your flake inputs...

inputs = {
  spyglass = {
    url = "github:indium114/spyglass";
    inputs.nixpkgs.follows = "nixpkgs";
  }
};

...and pass it into your environment.systemPackages...

environment.systemPackages = [
  inputs.spyglass.packages.${pkgs.stdenv.hostPlatform.system}.spyglass
];

Simply run the following command:

cargo install --git https://github.com/indium114/spyglass

[!NOTE] Ensure that ~/.cargo/bin is in your $PATH

Type to search
Use Up/Down to select results
Search a specific lens with lensname#
e.g. apps# for apps
Press ? to see a list of available lenses, as well as the version of spyglass you have installed
Press Tab to run an alternate action on certain entries

e.g. the clipboard# lens allows you to press Tab on a clipboard entry to wipe the clipboard history
